This Valentine's Day, give yourself a self-compassion re-set! On this day that's meant to be a celebration of love, let's gather and remember that it's a day to be kind and loving toward ourselves, too. We'll practice together so you can relax more fully with a kind heart and deeper self-trust. I'll also talk briefly about Everyday Self-Compassion, my 8-week online group program.

I'm Lea Seigen Shinraku, licensed therapist, teacher and Zen practitioner, and I've been leading self-compassion workshops for over 10 years. Valentine's Day can be hard for many reasons ~ and this year it comes in a time of isolation, loss and uncertainty for so many. However you're feeling right now, you belong here. If you're feeling good, there's room for you to slow down and give yourself time to appreciate that. If you're struggling, you're not alone, and self-compassion can bring real relief ~ it's a "muscle" we can strengthen, with practice. For many years, it was hard for me to accept myself and much easier to focus on giving to others. Over time, this left me depleted and lost. I found relief and a deeper sense of joy and purpose in practicing meditation and self-compassion, and that's what I'll share on this mini-retreat.
